The recent success of the We are Guernsey Green Finance week conference and fringe events showed the impact of offsetting environment loss, investment gains in biodiversity and ethical investment opportunities. Will the Committee seek increased partnership possibilities with the corporate sector locally? 2. The Green Party Conference (which I attended) had a session showing how light pollution& activity had changed starling bird migration patterns and other consequences. Will the Committee be considering new designs to protect our wildlife habitat and diversity? From:To:QuestionsDeputy SoulsbyCommittee for Education, Sport & Culture1. In response to Rule 14 questions, the Committee has explained that the GCSE results have yet to be validated following the completion of the formal appeals process. What is the overall percentage of results in mathematics that have been successfully appealed since 2019? 2. The Committee has advised, in response to the same Rule 14 questions, that the proportion of students who achieved Level 4 and above in mathematics GCSE was 57.7% and at Level 7 and above was 10.8%. Accepting that these results are as yet unvalidated, what was the percentage attained at each of the States-maintained secondary schools? 3. How many specialist mathematics teachers are there currently in each of the States-maintained secondary schools? From:To:QuestionsDeputy GollopCommittee for Education, Sport & Culture1. Recently the ESC President rightly praised Beau Sejour centre the theatre Eisteddfod and activities but said it wasn't washing its face financially and needed review.. When will the review conclude and will politicians as well as officers be involved in thus Review process? 2. Will the Review look at and especially consider diverse socioeconomic factors such as the Centre's contributions to combatting loneliness, supporting equity and diversity .mental health and well being and supporting juvenile and elderly people's activity? 3. The Public accounts Scrutiny review chaired by Deputy Heidi Soulsby in November 2015 considered it undesirable to outsource or privatise the leisure centre . Will that option be reconsidered as well as enhancing Beau Sejour centre income? The Questions and their replies will be published in Hansard in due course.
