Questions

Questions are formally put to Presidents about a matter they are responsible for by a Deputy or Alderney Representative. They may be asked orally (Rules 11 & 12) - during question time in the States of Deliberation - or in writing (Rule 14). Questions are used to seek information and hold government to account.

Written questions are put to the President of a Committee regarding an area of its mandate. The reply must be provided to the Member within 15 clear days of the question being put to the President.
